**Responsibilities**:
PRIMARY PURPOSE

Coordinates and provides administrative support to the various areas within the Employee Relations Department on programs, projects and initiatives. Responds to inquiries and researches information.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Coordinates and provides administrative support to the Employee Relations Team with a variety of programs, projects and initiatives which include but are not limited to: Service Recognition Program, Orientation Program, Policy Research, Surveys and other related HR programs and initiatives.

Provides administrative and clerical support for Recruitment by responding to internal/external inquiries, including responding to Peoplesoft requests; distributing job postings, which includes external advertising, monitoring closing dates of recruitment competitions and summarizing applicants, scheduling and arranging interviews with applicants and the selection panel, coordinating and facilitating testing; creating and maintaining competition files and recruitment documents pertaining to competitions and organizing, formatting and revising correspondence and letters; and scheduling interview coaching/career counseling sessions.

Assists with the coordination and administration of TransLink’s policies, including the Director and Employee Code of Conduct Policy and the Respectful Workplace Policy.

Provides Labour Relations administrative support, which includes drafting correspondence, scheduling meetings, assisting with preparation for grievances and arbitrations, and tracking and responding to Leave of Absence requests.

Provides administrative support to the HR Business Partners, which includes conducting research, drafting correspondence, preparing presentations and gathering and providing statistical information.

Applies knowledge of organizational policies and collective agreement provisions when responding to employee queries and seeks clarification and/or guidance as required.

Assists with implementation of new programs and initiatives, which may include coordinating materials, meetings and assisting with facilitating sessions.

Provides back up support and/or acts as the Corporate Wellness Coordinator, as required.

**Qualifications**:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
The competencies for the position would typically be acquired through completion of a Human Resource Management program, plus a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a human resource environment, giving preference to exposure in a unionized environment.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Solid working knowledge and understanding of human resource concepts, principles, theories and practices.

Intermediate to advanced word processing, power point and spreadsheet skills and experience with Human Resource Information Systems.

Solid time management skills and demonstrated ability to manage time effectively, prioritize, multi-task, and able to meet multiple deadlines.

Strong organizational and analytical skills, to effectively research, coordinate and, analyze, a variety of information.

Solid problem solving and decision-making skills.

**Other Information**:
