The Alcohol, Gaming, Fuel and Tobacco (AGFT) Division of Service Nova Scotia is the regulatory body charged with administering Part II of the Gaming Control Act, parts of the Liquor Control Act, and the Theatres and Amusements Act. The AGFT issues approximately 13,000 licenses annually and provides in counter service to approximately 3100 annually. Service standards dictate that licenses and registrations be processed within of 10 business days.

**About Our Opportunity**:

The LO contributes to revenues of approximately $300k per fiscal year.

**Primary Accountabilities**:

- The LO is responsible to review, approve or deny licenses, permits and registrations in accordance with legislation, policies and operational procedures of the Division.
- The LO liaises with licensees, obtains outstanding information, explains license conditions, and answers questions pertaining to licensing under the Gaming Control, Liquor Control, Theatre and Amusements Acts and the Criminal Code of Canada.
- The LO is responsible for day-end reconciliation of cash and cheques, responsible to provide reports on fees and notify clients of any outstanding fees and ensure that the correct fees are collected prior to issuance of subsequent licenses.
