**Level 8**

***Purpose of the Position**:
**Duties/Responsibilities**:

- Attend or assist in planning events such as career fairs
- Build strong talent pipelines and be proactive for our current and future hiring needs
- Assist and facilitate in orientation, onboarding, and facility tours for all new employees
- Work with hiring managers to identify recruitment requirements on an ongoing basis
- Ensure job vacancies are posted both internally and externally
- Coordinate and participate in phone screens and virtual/in person interviews as required
- Check references and communicate results to Hiring Manager
- Prepare and negotiate offers of employment
- Establish recruiting and onboarding requirements by understanding organizational plans and objectives, reviewing job descriptions and consulting with hiring managers to ensure a clear understanding of recruitment needs and an effective sourcing strategy
- Provide advice and guidance to manager throughout selection process including criteria to be used for selection, interview techniques, areas of priority and focus
- Manage relationship with various vendors and recruitment partners to identify and develop a diverse talent pipeline to respond to diverse operational needs
- Provide training to hiring managers regarding hiring process and develop training on workflow processes.
- Utilize resources and delegate tasks as necessary to team members to ensure timeliness are met
- When applicable: students will report to this role
- Identify and implement sourcing strategies for both passive and active talent
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources, or equivalent experience required
- Staffing/Recruitment (blend of in-house and agency) experience
- Past experience in a non-profit environment is preferred
- Experience working in fast-paced working environment
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrate professionalism and good judgement with them ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Strong understanding and ability to recruit for all levels of the organization from entry level to senior leadership roles
- Previous experience using LinkedIn Recruiter tool and other online sourcing tools
- Established ability to develop and build relationships quickly and demonstrate a sense of urgency and commitment to provide the highest level of service possible
- Excellent inter-personal skills, communication skills and team-based project experience
- Strong vendor manager skills related to recruitment activities such as augmented staffing agencies, search firms and job boards
- Ability to manage a large volume of recruitment
- Self-motivated, with strong communication skills, organizational, time management and negotiation skills
- Satisfactory current Vulnerable Sector Check and Criminal Records Check
