Accounts Receivable and Collections Specialist

**Summary**:
Accounts Receivable and Collections Specialist will be responsible for fast paced daily invoicing, which includes ensuring the capture of labor, material, equipment, subcontractor costs for time and material projects, as well as preparation of weekly and month-end milestone billing. As a key support for Project Cost Controller and project management team, you will be relied on to provide accurate and timely invoice processing. This position also plays an important role in collections for long term customers in both Canada and USA. Must have T&M and Master Service Agreement billing experience.
**Job Scope and Tasks**:
- Create invoices for USA and Canada projects weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly invoices for T&M and lump sum contracts, confirming sales tax is accurate.
- Ensure all T&M costs are invoiced including labor, per diem, equipment, material and freight.
- Match customer purchase order terms to invoice.
- Support Project Accountants with Track entry and allocation process.
- Expedite accounts receivable payments, interfacing with clients on overdue accounts.
- Coordinate bi-weekly internal collection meetings with and Project Management and Accounting
- Escalate issues to Project Cost Controller and Project Managers
- Various other duties as requested by the Controller or Project Management
**Job Qualifications**:
- Diploma or degree in accounting
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years’ relative experience
- Must be an advanced user of MS Excel and comfortable learning new software packages
- Previous experience with eCMS and Track client portal is an asset
- Experience in the industrial construction industry is an asset
- Must possess proven communication and interpersonal skills
Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
