We are looking for a **Team Lead, Business Analyst**, that will be leading a team bridging the gap between IT and the business side of Medisca. They will have full, end-to-end responsibility for projects, with the skills in system design at all levels. Collaborating closely with business units to gain an in-depth understanding of the business strategy, processes, services, and roadmap. They are ensuring that projects and initiatives support the overall strategic direction of the organization. Their collaboration extends to working with IT teams and the business units, to mentoring junior analysts, sharing expertise and establishing best practices.
**Responsibilities & Duties**
- Lead, coach, and supervise a team of business analysts, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
- Coordinate and prioritize team tasks and projects to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
- Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and provide continuous feedback and development opportunities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for software projects.
- Facilitate requirements workshops and meetings with cross-functional teams to elicit and prioritize user stories and features.
- Translate business requirements into clear and actionable user stories with acceptance criteria for development teams.
- Participate in sprint planning sessions to discuss user stories, estimate effort, and define sprint goals with the development team.
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and development teams, clarifying requirements and resolving ambiguities as needed.
- Conduct gap analysis to identify areas where existing systems or processes need improvement or enhancement.
- Assist in the creation and review of wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to visualize and validate proposed solutions.
- Collaborate with Operations & IT teams to define test scenarios and acceptance criteria for user stories, ensuring thorough test coverage.
- Monitor project progress and communicate updates to stakeholders, identifying and escalating risks or issues that may impact delivery.
- Continuously improve agile practices and processes within the team, advocating for best practices and lessons learned.
- Support the product owner in maintaining and refining the product backlog, ensuring it remains up-to-date and reflective of business priorities.
- Provide guidance and support to development teams on agile principles, practices, and tools, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Facilitate retrospective meetings at the end of each sprint to reflect on team performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain documentation and knowledge repositories related to business requirements, user stories, and project artifacts for future reference.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Certification in business analysis, such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or IIBA Agile Analysis Certification, is advantageous.
- Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in business analysis or a related role
- Proven experience as a business analyst in software development projects, preferably in an agile environment.
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, or Lean, and experience working within agile teams.
- Proficiency in eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business requirements using various techniques such as user stories, use cases, and process flows.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively facilitate meetings and workshops with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience with requirements management tools such as Jira for backlog grooming and collaboration.
