**What Can You Expect To Do In This Role?**
The Systems Administrator is accountable to manage the hardware, software, and networks of Lumacare. The role is responsible to monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues. A core accountability of the role is to manage the security and efficiency of the IT infrastructure. In collaboration with the Senior Manager, Shared Services and the IT team, the Systems Administrator establishes and implements the IT strategic priorities.
**Key Accountabilities In This Role**:
**IT HELP DESK**
- Manages and monitors Freshdesk IT tickets in accordance to the Service Level Agreement
- Application set up and troubleshooting services for all users
- Sources and supplies hardware equipment to all end users of equipment at all locations
- Configures new laptops and completes an IT Orientation
- Monitors and maintains accurate, up to date inventory of all IT equipment
- Monitors server capacities and identifies files to accommodate growth in system
- Addresses security and operational issues to servers and operating systems
- Monitors and resolves network and internet connectivity issues with network cards, hubs, switches, routers, and wireless access points
- Isolates, removes, and replaces hardware
**INFORMATION SECURITY**
- Liaise with Lumacare leaders to identify and assess technology needs
- Assesses new opportunities and prepare proposals for innovative ways to automate Lumacare processes and practices
- Reviews violations of computer security protocols and prevent the future occurrences
- Installs and configures new network and server equipment and software
- Implements and manages the Enterprise Anti-Virus platform and associated systems
- Monitors the usage of computer files and regulate safeguarding mechanisms
**CYBER SECURITY**
- Act to prevent, isolate, and troubleshoot any Cybersecurity related incident
- Perform required testing and implement advance security to meet security level at most
- Manage security software and services. Implement further security as needed and available
- Monitor current security risk in industry
- Monitor threat and security risks to Lumacare Services and Hardware’s
- Provide cyber security related training to staff members when required
**CLOUD PLATFORMS**
- Develop security standards, procedures, and guidelines for multiple platforms
- Liaise with IT consultant to manage AWS, 0365, and Azure cloud platforms
- Help IT consultant to manage disaster recovery plan to mitigate risks
- Implement services, functionalities and security to cloud platform and related services
- Monitor availability and service disruptions scheduled or non-scheduled
- Analyze, repair, verify, track and capture malicious activities
- Utilize monitoring tools to maintain a secure information systems (IS) environment
**WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR?**
- Bachelor’s Degree, Information Technology or equivalent University Degree
- 3 - 5 years’ experience in IT infrastructure, cloud solutions, project and vendor management
- Experience in PC operating systems: Microsoft Windows Server, Hyper V. Active Directory, Apple MAC OSX and IPad OS Operating systems, Symantec End Point Protection, Veritas Backup Exec, and VPN and remote set up, ticketing system
- Microsoft Office Suite - Level 3
- Computer proficiency - Level 5
- Problem-Solving Abilities and ability to multi-task
- Attention to detail, leadership qualities and decision-making qualities
- Current Vulnerable Sector Police check required completed within last 12 months is required
- This position requires you to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and you must provide Lumacare with proof of vaccination prior to employment.
This role works in the office across all sites with a constant sitting for long periods of time, repetitive motions of hand eye coordination along with frequent travelling to all sites in their own vehicle.
