**The Role**

The primary role of the POS Service Technician is to provide Merchant on-site hardware troubleshooting, repair and /or replacement services as well as technical support and training for 3rd party contractors.

The POS Service Technician will also provide operational support for all product roll-outs, upgrade projects and returns and liaise with the Call Centre & Logistics Group ensuring device operation and inventory control when closing an on-site dispatch (call).

**This will be covering the Greater Toronto Area.**

**Main Responsibilities**
- Display a professional image during all interactions with merchants to build merchant loyalty for Global products and services.
- Prioritize and focus all service calls within company SLA’s, ensuring communication is maintained with internal & external clients.
- Responsible for maintaining control of inventory at all times from receipt to return.
- Provide feedback to manager and CCC on potential customer situations.
- Update Global Inventory systems accordingly from start of call to completion in real time.
- Merchant POS (De)-Installation Support and Training.
- Required to participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
- Attention to detail on all aspects of service delivery in order to meet or exceed customer expectations.

**Required Qualifications**
- College Diploma in computer related studies beneficial but not critical
- A valid driver's license
- 3 -4 years of proven experience in troubleshooting POS hardware/software solutions
- Experience using and installing diagnostic and backup software
- Available to support the network Monday through Sunday, 9am - 9pm local time. Standard schedule 8am - 5pm, but must be flexible to work outside these hours.
- Service driven and oriented
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer relation skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks within a time constraint
