**BACKGROUND**

The Willowbank School of Restoration Arts is an internationally acclaimed, not for profit, career college in Queenston, Ontario, Canada located on the Willowbank Estate. With a well-established reputation at the forefront of heritage education, Willowbank collaborates with industry leaders to create an experiential learning approach for students to develop the expertise, skills, and confidence to forge their own path. The program is delivered by adjunct faculty with a diverse range of skills who are leaders in their fields. In addition, Willowbank has an established network of national and international opportunities for upper year students. The National Historic Site campus is multi-layered in its own heritage value, including adapted buildings and significant cultural history. Willowbank is located on the traditional territory of the Anishinaabeg, Ojibway/Chippewa and Haudenosaunee peoples. This territory is covered by the Upper Canada Treaties and is within the land protected by the Dish With One Spoon Wampum agreement. This gathering place is home to many First Nations, Metis and Inuit peoples and acknowledging reminds us that our great standard of living is directly related to the resources and friendship of Indigenous people. It serves as a venue for prominent local, national, and international gatherings.

**FACULTY ROLE**

Willowbank is currently looking for individuals who are interested in teaching the next generation of Heritage Conservationist. We are currently seeking applicants who are interested in faculty opportunities. We offer diploma program courses as a block schedule (for example: a 30-hour course is a full week course Monday-Friday 9AM-4PM).

The faculty duties include teaching students course materials assigned by Willowbank, evaluating students as required, providing guidance on course related queries by the students and providing pre
- and post-program facilitation, as assigned. The faculty will prepare a Teaching and Learning Plan (TLP) for the course prior to the start of the academic semester. The faculty will provide Willowbank with the course grade report and all related course materials upon completion of the course.

Faculty reports to the President, Willowbank.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

The faculty position’s minimum qualifications required are:

- A Bachelor degree from a Canadian university or an equivalent degree, and 2 years occupational experience in the Heritage Conservation domain (planning or trades).

**OR**
- A Diploma from a College of Applied Arts and Technology or equivalent, or registered Career College or equivalent, or a Certificate of Qualification under the Trades Qualifications and Apprenticeship Act or the Apprenticeship Certification Act or equivalent, and 3 years occupational experience in the Heritage Conservation domain (planning or trades).

**OR**
- 3 years of teaching experience and 3 years occupational experience in the Heritage Conservation or related domain.

**OR**
- 4 years of occupational experience in the Heritage Conservation or related domain.
- Eligibility to work in Canada.
