Human Resources Recruitment Clerk

(Full Time
- Temporary One Year)

Specific Duties
- Participate in the research of Human Resources best practices and procedures.
- Contribute to strategies for improvement in the areas of diversity recruitment.
- Assist with tracking and screening of applicants.
- Assist in the planning of recruitment initiatives and events, in-person and virtually.
- Assist with the updating of recruitment materials.
- Assist maintaining recruitment resources in partnership with corporate communications including videos, social media content, promotional material and the GSPS website content.
- Update recruitment files where required.
- Assist with reference checks for potential hires.
- Post, update and remove job ads from job boards, career pages and social networks.
- Contribute to applicant databases on applicant information such as contact details, background forms and correspondence logs.
- Assist with the preparation of recruitment related Human Resources reports.
- Assist with the entry of training related data bases and records.
- Assist with the daily functions of the Human Resources Branch.

**Qualifications**:

- Successful completion of two-year college diploma in human resources or related field equivalent.
- Minimum six months related experience

**Asset**:

- Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset.
- Currently working towards Certified Human Resources Professional Designation (CHRP).
- Experience working with Human Resources Information Management Systems and/or Applicant Tracking systems.

**Skills**:

- Demonstrated understanding of Human Resources practices and applicable legislation.
- Demonstrated experience in facilitation and/or presentation skills.
- Proven organizational, time management and motivational skills.
- Organize own work, set priorities, and meet critical time deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively and part of a team.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
- Ability to maintain accuracy with a large volume of work.
- Demonstrated effective written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated analytical observation, thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated effective research skills.

**Hours of Work**: Generally Monday-Friday Dayshift (some evenings and weekends may be required)

**Salary**: $27.02/Hour
