The Manitoba Métis Federation (MMF) is the National Government of the Red River Métis - also known as the Manitoba Métis. The Red River Métis are Canada’s Negotiating Partners in Confederation and the Founders of the Province of Manitoba.

**_ Job Duties/Competencies:_**
- Support the development of infographics on the Whiteshell Laboratories Restoration Project decommissioning projects and the WR-1 reactor decommissioning;
- Work with the MMF staff and CNL to improve processes and outcomes from the Indigenous Advisory Committee (IAC) and bilateral engagements;
- Communicate with MMF Citizens about CNL’s Whiteshell Laboratories Restoration Project and the mandate of the IAC to foster a greater understanding at the community level;
- Participate in and help coordinate engagements related to the WR-1 decommissioning project between CNL and the MMF and its Citizens;
- Participate in the IAC as an MMF representative to which they report;
- Provide a minimum of quarterly written updates to CNL on engagements with MMF and its Citizens as it relates to the Whiteshell Laboratories Restoration Project or the WR-1 decommissioning project.

**_Skills and Qualifications:_**
- Have an MMF Citizenship Card or a letter from the Central Registry Office stating that you are in the process of receiving your citizenship;
- College diploma or Bachelor’s degree in science, management, business or a related field is preferred;
- Experience with conducting and working with scientific knowledge and Métis traditional knowledge;
- Effective communicator both written and verbal;
- Understanding of CNL’s Whiteshell Laboratories Restoration Project;
- Ability to speak Michif is strongly preferred;
- Knowledge of Red River Métis culture, MMF programs and services is a definite asset; and,
- Ability to travel, valid Manitoba Driver’s license with access to a reliable vehicle.
