Gateway is a Family Resource Centre (FRC), an Employment Resource Centre (ERC), a Learning Resource Centre (LRC) and a Digital Inclusion Hub that provides education, family support, mentorship, and inclusive employment.

Gateway facilitates big change via small changes and works to ignite diversity advocacy in workplaces and the community to advance inclusion-culture.

**Overview**

This Intake Coordinator is a key role within the EERC. The position’s function is to coordinate and administrate participant **intake and onboarding **activities. Critical outcomes for this position include the implementation of participant recruitment and selection protocols to ensure effective ‘service match’ while meeting Gateway funder and contract terms. It is also the role of this position to take a lead role in the promotion and engagement of the EERC.

**Please note this is a temporary position for a 1 year term**

**Communication & Administration**:

- Enter new participants into Gateway data collection systems: Apricot, SharePoint and Participant Stats
- ‘Triage’ and assign referrals based on project vacancies and service match
- Complete consent forms with new participants and create new participant files
- Send resources and workshop information to new participants
- Fill project ‘vacancies’ as per contracts and required participant numbers
- Advise Program Lead of any issues around intake / caseload ‘flow’ and promotion
- Develop, update, and contribute to the improvement of processes within the job scope
- Provide regular recruitment / intake updates at team meetings

**Promotion & Engagement**:

- Engage directly with the community to promote the EERC’s services
- Serve as a program ambassador by giving presentations and attending resource fairs
- Coordinate / conduct intake meetings to assess support needs and provide program info
- Help applicants / referral sources assess readiness for employment and services
- Facilitate program information workshops
- Communicate (verbal and written) with participants, team members and employers

**The Commitment**
- 1 year temporary position (Jan 2024 - Jan 2025)
- Part-time position working 20 hours/week. Typical office hours are Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM, but there will be some flexibility needed to accommodate work outside of regular hours. We believe in work life balance and are committed to keeping the workload in alignment with the true hours worked.

- Experience with facilitation and presenting to groups both in-person and virtually
- Professional ethics, specifically pertaining to service access, power dynamics, confidentiality
- Organization skills and the ability to prioritize
- Must reside within Edmonton or the greater surrounding area
