**The Opportunity - Lead, Brand and Content Design**:
Reporting to the Senior Director, Marketing Operations, Tech, Brand and Creative Services, we're looking for an experienced Lead of Brand & Content Design to take on an exciting new role, responsible for overseeing the evolution of our brand and content strategy at FreshBooks.
You will be setting the strategy for how our voice and tone are communicated across all content and editorial sources (website, campaigns, communications, to name a few ), ensuring users receive our content in an engaging, informative, and easy to digest manner. In this role you will be leading a team of content managers, copywriters, freelancers, and will partner closely with our Art Director and designers to come up with big ideas and bring extraordinary experiences to our users.
NOTE: This role can be worked **remotely** from the above location.
**What You'll Do as a Lead, Brand and Content Design**:
- Collaborate with leadership on the development of our brand and content marketing strategy, ensuring our voice and tone, and governance model are set-up and adhered to across FreshBooks
- Build a framework for Brand, in partnership with our Art Director, and roadmap for evolution over the coming 12-24 months
- Collaborate with our leadership team and stakeholders, including marketing managers, SEO, web CRO, marketing operations and product, to ideate and execute innovative concepts across our key strategic initiatives
- Create and expand our global content across all channels, including marketing communications, social media, website and app
- Own OKR setting, reporting and development of all rituals to propel content strategy forward
- Responsible for knowledge and management of channels and tools to support brand standards and relevant social media platforms
- Lead a team responsible for the ideation, creation, delivery and quality of content & copywriting excellence; this role will support both internal full-time employees and external freelancers
- Partner closely with your team and senior leadership to evolve content and copywriting processes to drive more effective and efficient content delivery
**What You'll Bring to the Role**
- 7+ years experience in related role leading content strategy and delivery within the SAAS industry
- Background in agile methodologies and working in a remote environment
- Experience writing across a variety of digital platforms, including desktop, mobile, app and social media
- Strong knowledge of SEO best practices, digital marketing, UX writing and social media
- Deep understanding of leveraging content to help build and shape a brand identity
- Excellent writing, communication, presentation and collaboration skills
- Experience managing others, with proven ability to coach and mentor a team
- Experience with Jira/Confluence, Airtable, Wordpress and Google Suite is a strong asset
