Process Analyst

To support us on our journey, Sinai Health System is looking for a **Process Analyst - Oncology Clinical Information System 2 (OCIS2) **to support our** Clinical Informatics department **with the Oncology Clinical Information System 2 (OCIS2) project at our **Mount Sinai Hospital Campus.**
As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), the Process Analyst brings broad and deep knowledge of Sinai Health System clinical and non-clinical medical oncology hospital inpatient and ambulatory care practices. Working collaboratively with the Information Services team, the OCIS2 project team, and the medical oncology staff and physicians, the Process Analyst -OCIS2 will develop the skills and knowledge as a Super User of the OCIS2 solution, and endeavor to ensure the successful implementation, transition and adoption of the OCIS2 solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Becomes knowledgeable of the functionalities of the OCIS2 solutions from an end-user perspective and helps drive and facilitate the engagement of the clinical team to ensure the solution supports the future-state clinical workflow
- Helps identify needs assessment of clinical staff in the early stages of the project
- Utilizes knowledge of standards of care and best practices in Oncology and works collaboratively with the Project Clinical Lead to identify gaps where future-state workflows and processes should be optimized as a dependency in advancing the use of the OCIS2 solution
- Solicits feedback from the medical oncology staff, physicians, leadership and collaborators to ensure the design, build and implementation of the Cerner oncology system solutions support optimal use and adoption
- Works collaboratively with the project team members and medical oncology staff, physicians, leadership and collaborators to optimize workflows and practices
- Analyzes and documents current state workflows, identifies opportunities for improvement and develops and documents future state workflows
- Identifies and documents workflows and scenarios and engages in a vetting process with appropriate collaborators prior to testing and validating the design and build of the Cerner oncology solutions
- Assists in the coordination, documentation and execution of testing activities such as usability and user acceptance testing
- Advises the Information Services education staff on the development and delivery of the education objectives, content, practice scenarios and materials. Will be engaged in developing clinical case scenarios as part of the walk-through of the use of the OCIS2 solution
- Advises and participates in change management, communication plan and activities
- Participates in the planning and operationalizing of the GO- LIVE support model
- Provides go-live support to staff and physicians
- Collaborates with the Project Team on the development of downtime processes and procedures
- Performs other job related duties as required
- Job Requirements- An active registered health professional in good standing within an Ontario Regulated Health Profession (i.e. Nursing, Respiratory therapy, etc.). Nursing background is preferred
- Successful completion of a University Degree in health science or a related discipline from an accredited educational institution
- Current chemotherapy administration certification via the DeSouza Institute or ONS
- Applicants with proven equivalent recent and related training and experience may be considered
- Experience in process improvement initiatives (preferred)
- Experience in development of policies and procedure, including medical directives (preferred)
- Proficient in office automation software including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Extensive understanding of clinical and non-clinical operational processes in both an inpatient and ambulatory settings
- Knowledgeable of the Sinai Health System workflows in medical oncology services
- Strong knowledge base as it pertains to Oncology related documentation and practice standards, including Cancer Care Ontario guidelines for ST CPOE and evidence-based regimens
- Demonstrated evidence of excellence in analytical and problem solving skills
