**Position Overview**: As a Controls Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining control systems to ensure efficient operation of our machinery.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop control system architectures and designs based on project requirements.
- Program, configure, and integrate PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), HMIs (Human-Machine Interfaces), and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to commission new equipment and systems, ensuring proper functionality and performance.
- Conduct regular inspections and diagnostics to identify potential issues and implement preventive maintenance measures.
- Troubleshoot control system failures and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Optimize control algorithms and parameters to improve efficiency, productivity, and safety.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including wiring diagrams, schematics, and software versions.
- Provide technical support and training to operations and maintenance teams as needed.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and best practices in control systems engineering.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering, preferably in Electrical, Automation, or related field.
- Proven experience (5 years) in designing, programming, and troubleshooting control systems.
- Proficiency in PLC programming languages such as ladder logic, function block diagram, and structured text.
- Hands-on experience with HMI/SCADA software (e.g., Wonderware, Rockwell FactoryTalk, Siemens WinCC).
- Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Profinet, ).
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and safety protocols related to control systems (e.g., NFPA 70E, ISA-95).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Must meet travel requirement - you may spend time during installation and commissioning phases of a project at our customer’s facility.
