About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Control Specialist to join our team at HelloFresh. As a Quality Control Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality of our products meets the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct quality control inspections to ensure products meet required specifications.
  • Work closely with the Warehouse team to achieve quality targets.
  • Respond to quality and/or BBD issues on the production lines.
  • Communicate with cross-functional teams in cases of product non-conformance.
  • Lead production associates for ingredient sorting.
  • Perform quality control inspections on work-in-progress and finished products.
  • Ensure accuracy and efficiency at designated ship out stations.
  • Work in compliance with OH&S acts and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in Biological, Chemical or Food Sciences diploma.
  • 6 Months to 1 year experience working in QC/QA in a food processing, manufacturing or service industry.
  • Willing and able to push, pull, and lift up to 50lbs.
  • Has experience with standing for prolonged periods of time including regular bending, twisting and walking.
  • Understanding the Safe Food for Canadians Regulations and GFSI schemes.
  • Willing and able to work in a refrigerated environment (0°C to 4°C).
  • Ability to communicate in English, both verbal and written.
  • Familiar with MS Office, Google Apps and comfortable learning new technologies.
  • Ability to prioritize, remain calm and alert while multitasking in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment, in addition to having strong interpersonal skills.
