Both our Earl Haig Community Daycare, and Bowmore Chid Enrichment Centre, are located in the fabulous East York/Upper Beaches community. We are a not-for-profit centre, licensed for 350+ children ranging from newborn through age 10. We operate Monday through Friday, from 7:30am - 6:00 PM.

Earl Haig Community Daycare is currently seeking a passionate and experienced Registered Early Childhood Educator to run a solo (1:15) school age room. As a full-time RECE your schedule will be a split shift during the school year, and a straight shift on non instructional days.

Our sister centre, Bowmore Child Enrichment Centre, is seeking 2 experienced ECA's for our incredible enriched summer program, with the potential of an extended contract leading into the school year. Your schedule may fluctuate between a split and straight shift depending on the needs of the program.
- Be responsible for the emotional, physical, and developmental well being of the children in your care,
- Have a passion for inclusive education,
- Be reliable and consistent,
- Have an approach with children and parents that is engaging and warm,
- Have patience,
- Be registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood educators (for the RECE position),
- Be familiar with AQI and HDLH principles, as well as the CCEYA requirements,
- Be fluent in English (verbal and written),
- Are fit and able to work in childcare (carrying up to 40 pounds at a time/lifting/bending etc.),
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and promote learning and development in areas such as language, math, science, and social skills,
- Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and positive behavior,
- Provide individualized attention to each child to support their unique needs and learning styles,
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure open communication and involvement in their child's education,
- Monitor and assess each child's progress, keeping detailed records of their achievements and areas for improvement,
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment,
- Follow all health and safety regulations

- **Base pay for RECE's is $23.85 per hour, and is supplemented twice a year through the Provincial Wage Enhancement program. **_
- **Base pay for ECA's in $19.65, and is supplemented twice a year through the Provincial Wage Enhancement program. **_
- **Shifts for both positions may include split shifts and are 35 hours per week.**_
