About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanic to join our team at Brink's in Toronto, Ontario. As a key member of our Fleet Operations department, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of our fleet of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnosis and repair of any truck or trailer breakdowns, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal fleet performance.
  • Repair and rebuild engines, transmissions, drivelines, and differentials, as well as perform tune-ups using established procedures.
  • Repair steering, suspension, brake systems, frames, axles, electrical, hydraulic, and air conditioning systems, and road test vehicles to ensure quality of work performed.
  • Troubleshoot and repair lift gates as required, and maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Collaborate with the Fleet Manager to prioritize work and ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Current 310T and 310S certifications in good standing, as well as ODP (Ozone Depletion) certificate.
  • A valid G Class or higher Driver's License, and ability to satisfy all Ministry of Transportation requirements.
  • Action-oriented and able to work well under pressure, with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work to ensure minimal asset downtime, and experience with fleet software for work order management.
  • Travel requirement of 10-20% may be necessary to support fleet operations.
