Crane Service Technician

We are currently looking for Crane Service Technician, to serve our customers in Alberta and British Columbia in a wide variety of industrial customer. Under the responsibility of the Service Manager, the Service Technician performs the maintenance work necessary for the proper functioning of lifting devices at our customers throughout Ontario. In your activities, you will have to interact with skilled tradespeople, operators, supervisors, equipment suppliers and customers.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Perform inspections of overhead crane lifting equipment according to current standards
- Diagnose faults, identify causes and make necessary repairs for problems of any complexity
- Analyze breakages and recommend corrective actions
- Perform preventive maintenance of equipment
- Modify the equipment according to the work requirements
- Any other tasks requested by the supervisor
- Maintain excellent business relationships with clients and address inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Provide timely and courteous service to maintain positive client relationships and satisfaction.
- Offer guidance and training to clients on proper crane usage, safety protocols, and maintenance practices.
- Maintain accurate records of service activities, including repairs, inspections & maintenance
- Generate detailed reports outlining work performed, parts used, and any recommendations for future maintenance or upgrades..
**Qualifications**
The applicant must possess a scholarship qualification in industrial maintenance such has electrical, millwright, electro mechanical or any equivalent.
- Certified Journeyman Electrician is an asset
- Experience in the crane industry is a key asset.
- Electrical and/or mechanical experience
- Experience in electromechanical troubleshooting (an asset)
- Experience in overhead lifting equipment (an asset)
- Experience reading Electrical and Mechanical Blueprints
- Have a lot of initiative, be creative and be punctual
- Good sense of observation and customer relations
- Ability to manage pressure, prioritization and day-to-day challenges
- Valid driver's license
- Be comfortable with working at heights
- Ability to work standing or in awkward positions for long periods of time
- Hardworking, available and willing to travel anywhere in Ontario
- Have a safety conscious mindset
