**Who we’re looking for**

Toyota’s Body Production Engineering (BPE) Department seeks a passionate and highly motivated Lead Technician.

The primary responsibility of this role is to lead Machine Seibi model change activities at various U.S., Canada, and Mexico NAMs, including preparing daily team plans / job tracking, providing technician coaching and OJT, leading/fostering good communication and problem-solving, supporting kaizens, ensuring team safety, and ensuring standardized work adherence.

Reporting to the Region 3 Seibi Manager, the person in this role will support the BPE department's objective to provide new model processes to the manufacturing facilities that meet all Safety, Quality, and Productivity targets.

**What you’ll be doing**
- Participate in BPE project planning and project-related meetings and/or events representing Machine Seibi
- Create detailed Seibi daily plans, track activity status, coordinate Safety communications (JSA, CMs or remedies to unsafe conditions, audits, etc.), and identify issues and develop appropriate CMs.
- Establish and track the status of the Machine Seibi project Key Performance Indicators and customer handover criteria.
- Lead effective written and verbal communication with Machine Seibi members, management, and outside groups regarding issues that require resolution.
- Promote teamwork and improve the Machine Seibi group’s skills by coaching, conducting OJT with ‘hands-on’ tasks, and arranging off-job training as needed.
- Lead Machine Seibi projects and travel (or dispatch) up to 75% to U.S., Canada, and/or Mexico NAMs and suppliers and travel to Japan.
- Commonly work overtime up to 50%, including weekends and holidays
- This position will be covering Region 3 (Cambridge/Woodstock)

**What you bring**
- Associate degree or higher in a technical field, or 2+ years of equivalent technical work experience
- Toyota BPE Machine Seibi or Body Weld Maintenance experience
- Experience Supporting Body Weld projects in a leadership or sub-lead role
- Proficient with Body-related PLCs and software such as Toyopuc, PCwin, PCwin Safe, HMIs, Screenwork, etc.
- Proficient with Kawasaki, Nachi, and Yaskawa robots and other Body related equipment
- Ability to travel up to 75% at times, including international travel to U.S., Mexico, and Japan

**Added bonus if you have**
- Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Industrial Maintenance or another technical related field
- TBP though panel completion
