**Summary**:
This position is responsible for leading, coaching and motivating a team and working directly with employees and customers to provide an amazing purchasing experience.

**Summary**

This position is responsible for assisting Sales Manager in planning, organizing and controlling the activities of the sales department and in measuring the performance of the employees in the department.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Provide coverage when Sales Managers are not available.
- Assists in forecasting goals and objectives for sales, gross and key expenses on a monthly and annual basis.
- Assists salespersons in setting goals and objectives and coaches’ employees to achieve goals.
- Assists managers in recruitment, training development and monitors the performance of the sales staff.
- Ensures effective communication within the department and interdepartmentally.
- Attends and provides feedback at managers and sales meetings.
- Creates a customer focused environment and continuously strives to improve the customer satisfaction ratings.
- Ensures that customer complaints are handled promptly and effectively and works closely with the customer to settle disputes.
- Monitors cleanliness of basement.
- Assists in providing product and training resources for salespersons on a continuous basis.
- Ensures staff understands and follows department policies and procedures.
- Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal and provincial regulations that affect new car sales.
- Greets customers ensuring optimum customer services and assist team with closing customer deals.
- Develops programs in collaboration with the sales team that will increase the new-car gross and finance and insurance penetration.
- Establishes and maintains standards for the delivery of vehicles to customers.
- Reviews inventory daily to ensure the proper mix of grounded stock for maximum turnover efficiency.
- Monitors front line of sales demo and pre-owned vehicles in ensuring vehicles are organized, and maintained, including appearance and fuel.
- Effectively displays, merchandises and promotes all vehicles.
- Ensures customer service vehicle availability and showroom stock requirements match customer needs and dealership standards.
- Reviews and approves customer contracts and resolves discrepancies.
- Maintains accurately the demo listing, including correct mileages and warranty information.
- Prepare documents, reports etc. as required.
- Verifies sales commissions and prepares commission reports as required.
- Finalizes month end reports as required.
- Manages lease portfolios. Ensures that leases maturing within 12 months have been contacted.
- Maximizing renewal rates of lease portfolios.

**Skills and Qualifications**
- A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a sales role in vehicle retail sales including a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory role.
- OMVIC certification
- Valid drivers license and clean abstract
- Proficient with the following computer environments: Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Internet Explorer and Outlook.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal & written English) and customer service skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills in order to resolve customer issues.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure with simultaneous deadlines.
