The VETS Group is currently seeking an **Administrative Assistant **to fill a **maternity leave** position in our Edmonton, AB office.

Working closely with all facets of the Edmonton Team, the Operations/Admin Assistant will be the Director of First Impressions. This role will be responsible for answering the phones and greeting guests while assisting the Edmonton office, estimating and field personnel in a variety of duties.

To be successful in this role you will need to be self-motivated, focused and dynamic with a "can-do" attitude.

Administrative Support:

- Greet visitors including walk-in clients, solicitors, and couriers and ensure they are looked after and appropriately directed.
- Perform visitor orientation (sign-in sheet, general safety requirements)
- Manage sign-in board for Vets staff.
- Answer and screen incoming phone calls in a courteous and timely manner, and forward accordingly
- Manage and arrange office deliveries & couriers as needed.
- Contact Keeran and arrange service.
- Point of contact for, manage and perform maintenance and minor updates with Office equipment:

- Stamp Printing machine (Pitney Bowes):

- Printers (Canon X1)
- Maintain boardroom as needed.
- Keep front office & kitchen areas clean and in order.
- Organize supply closet and order new supplies through the purchaser as needed.
- General communications to all staff (events, notices etc.)
- Filling as needed (AP, AR, employee expenses, timesheets, others as necessary)
- Provide backup and admin group holiday coverage as needed.
- Special projects for Safety, Marketing and the Executive teams as needed.
- Enter all AP invoices into SAP as assigned, correctly and in a timely manner.
- Assist the AP department with the cheque run as needed.
- Complete the WIP report by the 5th of the month for all divisions.
- Adhere to all company safety policies.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Salary**: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- SAP: 1 year (preferred)
- administrative assistant: 3 years (required)
