We are currently seeking a **Sales Account Manager** to join our team in Ottawa. This position is responsible for compiling and managing the client data base and seeking new sales opportunities. The **Sales Account Manager** will schedule and conduct regular contact with clients to identify any additional opportunities.

Drawing on experience of our senior management team, you will create professional sales proposals to secure major government and publicly tendered opportunities. You are responsible to pursue and close on all new business development for snow and landscape services across Ottawa and outlying areas.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- **Protect the brand and company image we have built**:

- Provide excellent customer service by communicating in a professional manner (both verbal and written) and in a timely manner with internal and external clients
- Develop and maintain mutual respect and rapport with Team Members and all clients
- Establish and practice consistent behavior for client management
- Collaborate with the leadership team to define and document realistic, innovative delivery objectives for our services
- Provide constructive feedback to the Operation Team based upon client feedback
- Compile and develop an organized, centrally located customer database that clearly defines all contacts, contract details and relevant client information
- Assist with developing consistent costing / pricing models for our services
- Develop and provide standardized handoff packages for Operations and Accounting when sales are converted
- Daily, monitor and pre-qualify postings on all website subscriptions
- Prospect for new opportunities across Ottawa with pre-qualified clients
- Attend networking events when suitable to enhance client relationships or develop new business opportunities
- Additional tasks as required

**EXPERIENCE & SKILLS**

**Required**
- Minimum five (5) years of sales account management experience
- Minimum three (3) years of industry experience
- Proficient in the use of required software programs including SharePoint, LMN, Excel and MS word
- Motivated and energetic team player with an attention to detail and great work ethic
- Understanding of legislation that may impact sales, management of human resources, service delivery or contracts
- Detail oriented and proficient in measurements, mathematical calculations and logistics
- Ability to travel, have a flexible work schedule and be on call

**Preferred**
- Previous landscaping, snow removal, or maintenance experience is an asset
- Ability to take direction, learn, and work independently as well as part of a team
- Motivated and energetic team player with an attention to detail and great work ethic
- Understanding of contract language, identifying risks and specific conditions
- Earn and maintain industry related certifications
- Formal administrative, health and safety training
