We are looking for a Settlement Specialist who will continue to raise the bar and tackle the great initiatives ahead for this team

**What our team does**:
Our team, led by our Senior Director of Settlement Services, is at the forefront of emerging trends in the payment industry, such as e-commerce, payments solutions, and strategic partnership.

Our team contributes to the overall success of managing all Debit and Credit Card transactions for our clients right from authorization through to clearing and settlement. This end-to-end capability is a competitive advantage for PSP, enabling our clients to meet their financial needs.

The team is also responsible for providing data insights on all aspects of our business practices. The data is used to identify opportunities for process improvements and out of box thinking beyond numbers.

**What you will work on**:
As the Settlement Specialist, you will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

- Complete multiple settlement reconciliations for Card Brands and clients
- Investigate out-of-balance conditions and process financial adjustments.
- Assist in daily movement of funds through various systems.
- Utilize Excel to generate reports from a very large data.
- Respond to client inquiries and escalate/resolve issues, as necessary.
- Identify opportunities of process improvement and innovation in the daily tasks.
- Support manager with other settlement activities and adapt to changes in the processes and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate with external and internal clients to resolve settlement issues.
- Gain expert knowledge of company’s settlement processes, policies, and systems.
- Support the resolution of financial impacts caused by any major system outages

**What you must have**:
To be considered for this role, we are looking for someone with the following skills/qualifications:

- 2+ years experience in Canadian payment processing systems and operating regulations
- University degree in Commerce or Finance.
- Knowledge on related accounting system.
- Advanced MS Excel skills (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, Macros, formulas and working with a very large datasets) with a high mathematical aptitude.
- Strong time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision.

Pay: $16.55-$38.83 per hour

Additional pay:
