Northern Divine Aquafarms Ltd. is one of Canada's first closed-containment, freshwater, recirculating aquaculture systems. We rear Fraser River White Sturgeon for meat and caviar production. Our certified organic caviar is internationally recognized, raised on pristine, recirculated well water with no antibiotics or added hormones. We also raise Coho salmon for the live egg industry, supplying the emerging land-based aquaculture sector with a unique product to grow in farms around the world.

**Responsibilities**:

- Creates and implements company quality standards that meet CFIA food safety standards.
- Accomplishes quality assurance objectives by monitoring, reviewing, and enforcing policies and procedures for productions and food processing on the farm.
- Trains and motivates employees to ensure that quality standards are met for CFIA food safety standards.
- Making training manuals and documentation for training and for records
- Achieves quality assurance operational objectives by contributing to information analysis.
- Meets financial objectives by estimating requirements, preparing annual budgets, and scheduling expenditures.
- Develops quality assurance plans by conducting hazard analyses and monitoring procedures.
- Validates quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes.
- Assists in the recruiting process.
- Maintains and improves product quality by completing product, company, system, and compliance audits.
- Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Data entry for processes.
- Ensuring cleanliness in production and manufacturing areas.
- Ensure that all products meet or exceed all Quality specifications currently in place at the seafood processing facility
- Respond to non-compliant quality issues, should they arise, and inform the Processing Facility Manager and Management of quality issues
- Take a proactive approach to potential quality control and food safety issues
- Ensure that all processes are executed efficiently and effectively
- Collaborate with team members to develop and implement process improvements
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement
- Train and mentor team members on proper processes and procedures
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Address possible employee behavioral issues and enforce company policies related to such, as health and safety

Experience/Requirements:

- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in quality management in accordance with CFIA
- Strong knowledge and understanding of food and safety regulations, notably CFIA
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to perform in a timely and efficient manner

**Salary**: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
