Life Claims Specialist
**What is the opportunity?**
**What will you do?**
- Responsible for the adjudication of claims utilizing a multidisciplinary claim management model to ensure objective, fair and thorough claim adjudication; comply with practices and procedures and regulatory requirements; provide the highest level of customer service and manage reputational risk and develop and implement claims management and return to work strategies on their assigned caseloads where warranted
- Assess, research and analyze numerous contracts, documents the appropriate next steps while effectively and professionally communicating outcomes to our clients
- Effectively communicate and build rapport with team members, stakeholders and business partners using a variety of techniques and collaboration from initiation to close
- Resolve minor conflicts and issues and escalates to others as appropriate
**What will you need to succeed?**
- 1 to 2 years claims experience
- Strong analytical and decision making skills
- Ability to multitask and balance multiple goals and priorities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to effectively deal with customers in a manner that is professional with a high degree of customer service
- Ability to effectively manage change

Performs general insurance financial accounting activities; provides support and problem resolution for insurance policy inquiries. Applies basic theories, skills, and practices to accomplish assignments.
