The Royal Alexandra Hospital Foundation (RAHF) is seeking its first **Vice President, Communications, Marketing and Brand**, to be located in **Edmonton, AB**. Supporting the President and Chief Executive Officer, this role was created to successfully lead a team to craft positive visibility for the Foundation as well as develop and sustain partnerships with its many communities.

The **VP of Communications, Marketing and Brand **will primarily be responsible for:
**Enhancing RAHF Brands** - Drive and promote the RAHF mission and overall brand awareness of this extensive portfolio, including CK Hui Heart Centre, the Eye Institute of Alberta, Lois Hole Hospital for Women, Lois Hole Hospital Women’s Society, Alberta Women's Health Foundation and Women’s Health Collective Canada. It will oversee strategic development, execution, and coordination of marketing communication and community engagement strategies and programs that build upon the relationships that the Foundation has while also seeking to develop new relationships.

**Inspiring Philanthropy **- To inspire philanthropic support for health and health research across stakeholder groups and communities, including external and internal audiences resulting in the advancement of our mission; to improve the health of all Albertans.

**Leading the Way **- With your team, you will provide strategic guidance, partnership, and professional development growth opportunities, to ensure a strong working relationship and clear division of duties. Actively manage, recruit, and develop the team as well as stakeholders to support and further extend the resource of the department.
- 10+years of progressive marketing, and communications, leading multiple brands
- Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, sales or related business field (an MBA would be considered an asset)
- Excellent written communication, as evidenced by a cover letter demonstrating how your skills and experience will shape the growth of the foundation and its mission to build better healthcare and achieve our goals
- Several examples of how you directed a team to do bigger, better, and bolder things to move the team and organization forward; taking marketing strategy into action (providing links or a portfolio would be ideal). We are looking for how you have worked with a variety of projects of different sizes, budgets, and scale.
- Previous exposure working with a strategic, advisory board would also be considered an asset

**During the interview process which includes meeting with Elevated HR, potential team members, Board members and the President and CEO, we will be looking for**:

- An innovative thinker with varied examples of success in data analysis, strategic planning, and internal and external communications/planning
- Ability to explain how you lead teams to achieve successful outcomes and what were some of the struggles you overcame along the way
- Examples that demonstrate your understanding of how to read an audience; recognizing when to collaborate as well as operate from a place of autonomy
- Strong verbal communication evidenced through tailoring your messages based on the audience, articulate and thoughtful in approach
- Creativity in problem-solving by sharing stories of problems and solutions you have faced throughout your career leading a team
- Examples of how you have strategically influenced and constructed a strong brand image that captivates attention
- The ability to shepherd multiple projects through multiple phases, across various channels with diverse deliverables, involving the contributions of several others
- Your approach to inheriting a team by building respectful rapport
