**Hours/Shifts **Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Rotational on call, flexibility is required. Schedules may change depending on operational requirements

This position may be redeployed to Springboard’s Developmental Services Residences, should the need arise.

Reporting to the Supervisor of Community Programs, the Assistant Supervisor will provide support in all aspects of program management, program development, outreach, screening and selection of participants, hiring and retaining of staff, students and volunteers in the program.

Community Programs oversees all operational aspects of community participation support programs that support individuals with a Developmental Disability/Dual Diagnosis; SOAR (43 individuals), Family Supports program (50 individuals and their families), Short Term Family Supports (up to 40 individuals and their families), Person Directed Planning program (up to 5 individuals) and the department Fee for Service program.

**Programming**:Assist with managing the day to day running of the program including implementation and evaluation of both onsite and community based supports. Ensure programming meets requirements. Support staff in problem solving and follow-up on any challenges, incidents or serious occurrences. Provide service to diverse clients

**Case Management**:Review and assess client referrals. Conduct intake tours, assessments and visits. Ensure participant files meet funder requirements. Attend goal meetings with staff, participants and families. Work collaboratively with staff, participants and supports in problem solving challenges related to goal implementation, achievement and program participation.

**Human Resources**:Assist in the management of day to day issues that arise in relation to staff, students and volunteers. Manage staff scheduling for various locations; process payroll. Hire, retain and onboard staff, students and volunteers. Coach, develop, evaluate and supervise staff. Schedule required training for staff to ensure funder requirements

**Contract & Financial Management**:Participate in the monitoring of government contracts, identify program and facility needs; process invoices. Direct and approve purchase of program expenses in accordance with Agency purchasing procedures. Review and monitor budget expenditures and variances and take corrective action

**Administration**:Oversee and complete documentation, reporting and internal communication in accordance with agency and funder standards including statistical reports, funder updates and program targets.

**Health and Safety, Building Maintenance**:Identify and take corrective action to address health and safety risks. Submit health and safety reports as per agency guidelines. Work collaboratively with building management and superintendent to rectify building maintenance issues at program sites. Implement health and safety requirements in an effort to create a safe environment for staff, participants and visitors.

**WHO YOU ARE**
- A post-secondary degree or diploma in Social Services, Social Work and/or related field.
- Minimum two (2) years of recent work related experience in areas such as: programming (implementation and design), case management, etc.
