**JOB POSTING**

The Edmonton Petroleum Golf & Country Club is a premier private golf club celebrating its 30thyear in operation. Our Club is home to 600 members and features an 18-hole championship golf course, influential practice facility that boasts a walk-on three-hole course, and indoor and outdoor dining facilities, all operated with a positive culture focus.
- **Key Responsibilities**_ **Operation**
- Manages the entire food and beverage operation, including the Lounge and Patio, Kitchen, Tournaments, Special Events, Catering, Concession, and Beverage Cart services.
- Plans and implements a quality food and beverage program with variety and innovation, enhancing the Club’s reputation.
- Responds and resolves complaints in a prompt, courteous way. Seeks constant feedback from members concerning quality of food and service.
- Provides recommendations to the General Manager regarding any capital expenses or renovations, with a cost analysis and business case.
- Hires staff, ensuring that all standards, policies, and procedures are followed.
- Establishes and maintains high standards of service, quality, and job performance for staff.
- Manages Supervisors to ensure Dining Room, Lounge, and function facilities are clean, tidy, organized, and follow Health & Safety standards; conduct spot-checks to ensure standards are being met.
- Responds to all employee inquiries, complaints and issues with professionalism, diplomacy, and a sense of urgency.
- Promotes and sells Club food and beverage services by responding to member and non-member inquiries.
- Accurately completes cash outs and trains all servers on proper process.
- Finalizes and files all HR and payroll forms.
- Ensures all staff are aware of safety regulations and requirements.
- Determines standards, policies, and procedures for the efficient operation of all food service venues.
- Establishes and delivers ongoing training program to meet standards of food preparation, presentation, and service for all areas of responsibility.
- Creates forecasts based upon historical data and monitoring of daily traffic.
- Is present for special events that may impact on level of business and is on the floor regularly while interacting with the membership.
- Schedules various staff in the most cost-effective way to accomplish necessary services for all food and beverages areas. Schedules to maintain within budgeted ratios for labour costs. Responds to seasonal fluctuation in business with appropriate scheduling of staff.
- Monitors and controls departmental costs.
- In conjunction with the Executive Chef, plans costs and prices for menus, functions, and special events.
- Oversees the process for inventory, ordering, wine list, menu printing, allocation of duty, personal and promo accounts, daily sales reports, ongoing communication with the General Manager, and other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**
- A minimum of five years management experience in a hospitality role.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays and special events, irregular days off and start times.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A passion for member service; previous experience is an asset.
- Reliable transportation is necessary.
- Knowledge of JONAS POS system is an asset.
- Microsoft Office and Outlook is required.
- Must be able to work in a team setting, while providing professional direction to other members of Department.
- Must have the ability for service recovery issues.
- WSET certification is an asset.
- Proserve certification Responsible Alcohol Service.
- Inventory/cost analysis experience is an asset.
- First Aid, CPR and AED certified (or willing to attain).
- Menu and culinary abilities are an asset.
- Must be able to work independently and remain calm in the event of an emergency.
- Ability to endure long periods of standing (sitting, bending, and lifting to 45 pounds may be required).
