**We Are Looking For**
We are currently seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our team of dedicated professionals. As the driving force behind our operations, the General Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of The Links Golf Course and ensuring that we continue to deliver positive and memorable experiences for our guests.
**What You'll Do**
- **General**:_
- Oversee all aspects of golf course operations, including golf operations, pro shop management, and clubhouse services, including food & beverage operations.
- Maintain effective communication and positive relationship with The Links Superintendent and staff.
- Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to ensure continued success and growth of The Links.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop and implement innovative programs and initiatives to enhance the overall golfing experience.
- Serve as the primary liaison between The Links and the community by building positive relationships with members, guests, local organizations, and local governing bodies.
- Be engaging and accessible to guests and respond to concerns in a timely manner.
- Develop and implement marketing initiatives that will maximize the golf course’s potential earnings, while at the same time promote courteous, professional, and friendly service to all guests.
- Tournament and Banquet Management, oversee tournament bookings with staff department heads to ensure organized execution of tournament and banquet events.
- **Financial**:_
- Develop and manage annual operating and capital budgets, with a focus on maximizing revenue and controlling expenses.
- Analyze financial performance metrics and key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement strategic initiatives to drive profitability.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
- Monitor financial trends and market conditions to make informed decisions and adapt strategies as needed to achieve financial objectives.
- **Human Resources**:_
- Recruit, hire, and train a skilled and motivated team of professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Establish and enforce HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
- Promote a positive and inclusive work environment that values diversity, equity, and inclusion, and promotes teamwork, collaboration, and mutual respect.
**About You**
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in golf course management or a similar leadership role, with a demonstrated passion for the game of golf.
- PGA of Canada Head Golf Professional status preferred.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with members, guests, and staff.
- Experience in financial management, with the ability to develop and manage budgets and analyze financial data.
- Knowledge of HR best practices and regulations.
- Must be able to work days/evenings/weekends as needed.
