Position Overview

This position is responsible for

Production
- Conduct work-in-progress (WIP) Counts for the production facility. Excess product that you process for the day or the next day to ensure that there’s enough product that is sent out
- Troubleshoot for production to ensure Yield targets are met. This includes ensuring that the cut, weight and machine are all properly calibrated to maximize daily output.
- Extract orders and coordinate between several production areas
- Update and coordinate with various departments including: Pricing, QA, Product Development and Purchasing on product/material changes/updates. Ensuring that the rest of the departments are aligned with each other
- Assist with supervisory duties when production supervisors are not available
- Participate and complete corrective actions brought up by the QA and Health and Safety department in Production
- Perform Raw material check and ensure that production is getting the right amount of raw materials from vendors in pounds.

Product Development
- Perform final inspection for sample products and ensure that samples are made based on specific customer requests. Serve as a Quality check for the customer before they receive it.
- Assist with tracking sample orders and ensure that they are accurate
- Directly work with Product Development to determine customer needs on product specifications.
- Assist and coordinate with Sales and Product Development on acquiring new customers through the creation of new specification for product samples
- Perform administrative work relating to yield and labour cost for new listing forms (NLF)
- Liaise on behalf of production with sales and product development to ensure that product requests are feasible prior to execution of sample orders
- Other duties as assigned by the Production Manager
