**Summary**
This position is responsible for performing machinery and equipment, building and property maintenance. They are responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining equipment in accordance with safety, and preventative maintenance systems and processes. Duties will include repairs to mobile equipment, production machinery, welding equipment, and notifying management of need for repairs. Fast paced environment, with multiple duties within a work day.

**Job Duties**
- Comply with Occupational H&S standards and practices.
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs to industrial forklifts and vehicles.
- Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic, via troubleshooting and repair.
- Ensure 24/7 availability of emergency services.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments and improvements.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, test meters and material handling equipment
- Maintain mobile equipment. Forklifts, trucks, tractors, highway equipment etc.
- Drive vehicles, as required.
- Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
**Requirements**:
- High school diploma/GED.
- Mechanic training/education (Red Seal), or Apprentice education/training an asset
- Willing to work overtime, and Saturdays as necessary
- Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to perform mechanical repairs, and electrical diagnostics.
- Able to create alternative solutions to problems.
- Strong attention to detail, and organization.
- Technical skills required to perform tasks.
**Work Conditions**
- Job requires ability to work indoors and outdoors, all seasons
- Job requires ability to work with a variety of hand and power tools.
- Ability to lift and manipulate objects of up to 50 lbs for 50 feet is required.
- Use of Personal Protection Equipment will be required (e.g. hard-hat, safety boots, etc.).
- Regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in conditions that include heat and humidity, and exposure to dust.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry objects, use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue
- Requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination.
- Noise level is generally loud.
- Hazards associated with the industry.
- Work from ladders, and at heights
