**Position**

The Project Coordinator will support the research and knowledge translation activities of the “Medical assistance in dying (MAiD): Descriptions of and experiences with models across Canada” project, funded by Health Canada. This project will conduct the first comprehensive national review of the various service delivery models in Canada for medical assistance in dying (MAiD) since the passage of MAID legislation in June 2016. Through a jurisdictional scan and analysis of the perspectives of patients, families, service providers, administrators and policy makers, critical qualitative information will be produced.

The project will enhance knowledge about the different approaches to MAiD delivery and oversight, identify opportunities for improvements and potential for collaboration across jurisdictions in Canada. Through an analysis of the experience of patients and families, it will also outline issues and concerns related to MAiD in Canada. Knowledge translation is a key part of the research and will connect stakeholders representing the policy makers across Canada, patient groups and families, clinicians, members of the public with the research team and its outputs. Given the broad scope of activities, this position must interact with many different stakeholder communities. The project coordinator will ensure that research deliverables are completed as planned in the grant proposal, and coordinate activities between the separate research domains. In summary, the activities will include planning, developing, conducting, implementing and disseminating research from the MAiD team.

**Duties**
- Establish liaison stakeholder groups (patients, public, industry, providers, policy makers, advisory committee, researchers)
- Produce periodic, scheduled communications between researchers, the advisory committee and stakeholder groups, presenting scientific results in lay language
- Organize meetings of the MAiD team, including agenda and materials
- Help in the design of instruments for surveys and focus groups, and in their conduct and analysis
- Ensure that all reporting requirements for the project are met
- Ensure that appropriate procedures are followed for expenditures related to the project, and manage the processing of expense claims and invoices
- Ensure effective relationships with accounting staff in the School of Public Health, and staff of the Research Services Office and central university administration.

**Minimum Qualifications**
- Baccalaureate degree in a health discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years project coordination experience in a post graduate research and education environment
- Excellent qualitative and quantitative research skills
- Strong communication skills (both written and oral)
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Strong financial management skills

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Master’s degree in health sciences

**How to Apply**

**We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those individuals selected for an interview will be contacted.
