The Local SEO Specialist focuses on improving VERB clients’ local SEO. They participate on client calls, deliver local SEO reports and insights, and manage and implement all day-to-day local SEO tasks for retainers.
**What You Will Do**
- Create and publish content on Google Business Profile (GBP), including selecting images, writing and editing posts
- Create and present SEO reports to clients, providing insights and rationale for SEO tactics and recommendations
- Audit and update citation sites across the internet
- Audit GBP and develop GBP content calendars
- Monitor local SEO keywords
- Work closely with the Accounts team and other departments as required to ensure relevant tasks are completed
- Continuously think of ways to improve SEO strategies and tactics and communicate ideas to the team
- Participate in SEO team training activities and assist with other SEO activities as required
- Stay up to date on SEO and integrated marketing trends
**Requirements**:
- 2+ years of local SEO experience
- Post-secondary education in marketing, communications, or equivalent experience
- Previous experience managing GBP listings and/or social media campaigns
- Experience managing local SEO efforts for multiple clients (travel and hospitality focus an asset)
- Working knowledge of Google Analytics or other analytics tools
- Demonstrated ability to write and create content for SEO and/or social media
- Hands-on experience auditing and updating online citations
- Comfortable presenting reports to clients and able to clearly explain rationale for decision making
- Knowledge of online marketing channels and marketing tactics outside of organic search or local SEO
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Highly organized with the ability to function in a fast-paced business environment
