**Position Summary**
The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing and executing all aspects of event production and venue operations to achieve service excellence with a focus on customer service, venue services, and onsite equipment. Working in conjunction with all areas of the organization, the Operations Manager will manage and oversee events, planning and detailing technical requirements, creating event and venue documentation for technicians, assisting with sourcing third party equipment and labour resources, assisting with developing and improving event procedures, and managing onsite technical support. They will assist with workforce management, act as a floor supervisor for events during setup, operation, and dismantles, oversee onsite inventory management and procedures, manage and enforce health & safety procedures, work with venue staff to manage venue services, oversee and manage external events, such as film shoots, and assisting with developing and improving event procedures.

This position is comprised of an average 40-hour work week with the expectation that hours will be flexible and overtime may occur. This position is based out of one of our venues downtown Toronto and is in-person/onsite.

**Job Duties**

Production Management
- Review sales quotes with the account managers to confirm audio-visual details, venue, and event specific requests
- Provide recommendations for cost efficiencies in accordance with company standards and procedures, and ensure timings and logistics align with venue services and departments
- Work with the account managers on the event design/proposal preparation as required
- Successfully complete the pre-production, event production, and post-production process
- Connect with clients and planners to finalize the details of their audio-visual requirements for their event and event documentation
- Manage event costs ensuring projected margins are achieved
- Liaise with clients, venue staff, and vendors and ensure all teams are setup for success
- Attend client meetings and site visits as required
- Develop and maintain knowledge of product and service offerings

Event Production
- Create and organize technical documentation as required
- Create and manage production documentation such as: production schedules, event checklists, run of show, event notes, floorplans, pre-event reports and inspections
- Collect and organize event documentation and content from clients and venues
- Assist with creating and managing rental and labour purchase orders
- Assist with developing and improving onsite event procedures
- Manage and oversee the booking of labour for events via Lasso Workforce Management Software
- Assist with managing venue services as required
- Manage and delegate onsite leads and technicians
- Assist with the setup, operation, and dismantle of audio-visual equipment as required
- Act as a Show Caller as required
- Coach presenters and manage rehearsals as required
- Oversee the execution of events; manage the event space for outside productions and film shoots
- Ensure post event reports are completed and submitted within 24 hours of event completion
- Update the account manager for any additional equipment added and additional labour hours within 24 hours of event completion
- Schedule post event meetings with specific company and/or venue staff as required
- Manage post event recordings, video editing, and content transfers to clients

Operations Management
- Oversee the daily floor activities and workflow of technicians to ensure that all equipment and services are delivered on time, in good working condition, and as specified by clients of the venue
- Manage onsite inventory control procedures to maintain proper inventory levels while also maintaining safety, security, and quality assurance of equipment
- Manage and enforce health and safety procedures
- Ensure the safe operation of all equipment and maintain a safe working environment for all staff
- Oversee and maintain the cleanliness and organization of setups, control booth areas, and storage
- Assist with the development and management of paperwork such as reports, manuals, equipment inventory, and work lists
- Evaluate venue procedures to ensure effectiveness and make recommendations for future improvements and capital projects
- Oversee and manage external events, requested logistics, and venue services
- Attend client meetings and site visits as required
- Develop and maintain knowledge of product and service offerings

Team Management, Development & Training
- Provide leadership and supervision to production team members under your supervision
- Provide coaching, guidance, and tools to assist team members for growth and development
- Mentor technicians to ensure they meet client and venue
