The Youth Gambling Program is an initiative of the YMCA of Greater Toronto, in collaboration with certain other YMCAs across Ontario. The project consists of education and prevention strategies designed to reduce the potential harm associated with youth problem gambling.

The Bilingual Program Coordinator, Youth Gambling Awareness Program supports the French delivery of the program by providing leadership to the Youth Gambling Outreach Workers across the Province of Ontario. The Bilingual Coordinator will be responsible for leading the program’s curriculum development and overseeing the program’s provincial outreach strategy including online platforms and social media. They will support the Manager to ensure all program’s contractual obligations are met and prepare research and analysis of trends and program activities.

Le Programme de sensibilisation aux jeux de hasard chez les jeunes (PSJJ) est une initiative du YMCA du Grand Toronto, en collaboration avec certains autres YMCA de l'Ontario. Le projet consiste en des stratégies d'éducation et de prévention conçues pour réduire les méfaits potentiels associés au jeu problématique chez les jeunes.

Le.la coordinateur.trice bilingue du Programme de sensibilisation aux jeux de hasard chez les jeunes (PSJJ) appuie la prestation du programme en français en assurant la direction des travailleurs.euses de proximité auprès des jeunes en matière des jeux de hasard dans toute la province de l'Ontario. Le.la coordinateur.trice bilingue sera chargé.e de diriger l'élaboration du contenu du programme et de superviser la stratégie de sensibilisation provinciale du programme, y compris les plateformes en ligne et les médias sociaux. Il.elle aidera le.la gestionnaire à s'assurer que toutes les obligations contractuelles du programme sont respectées et préparera des recherches et des analyses des tendances et des activités du programme.

**In this role, you will**:

- Coach, monitor and support Youth Outreach Workers, YOWs, across Ontario on YGAP delivery to ensure contract targets are met and program curriculum is delivered, policy and procedures are followed;
Lead program’s content/curriculum development and YGAP’s online presence (delivery of provincial webinars, social media strategy, websites, etc.)
- Plan and execute provincial youth engagement and community involvement projects
- Liaise and maintain regular contact with YOWs, their local supervisors and partner YMCA associations provincially and supports them in the delivery of the YGAP and meeting requirements of YGAP’s contribution agreements/contracts;
- Problem solve issues related to curriculum delivery, staffing, performance management, meeting of targets as set out in contribution agreement;
- Responsible for coordinating the recruiting, hiring, coaching and supporting YGAP Youth Outreach Workers to ensure contract targets are met as necessary
- Provide training to new YGAP staff and provide one large yearly training event to enhance staff professional development
- Develop, manage and monitor quality benchmarks
- Work with program staff and other coordinators to develop program innovations and directions;
- Prepare funder reports to review program and participant outcomes of contribution agreements at specified times, e.g.; Annual Reports completion;
- Coordinate program delivery throughout the Province in conjunction with the funder, provincial staff team and local YMCAs;
- Build relationships with key community agencies, and define and implement collaborative projects with the goal of raising gambling awareness in the community
- Provides support in development and submission of proposals (conferences, grants, etc.)
- Complete annual site visits to each delivery site in the Province to ensure quality, service agreement compliance and feedback to YOW’s regarding presentations
- Understands the importance of the volunteer staff partnership and integrates the value of philanthropy and volunteerism in dealings with members, volunteers, donors and staff.
