**JOB SUMMARY**:
The Community Safety and Well-Being Plan, is a collective impact plan that addresses the local risks to safety and well-being at the community level and proposes both priorities and actions in areas such as: financial security and poverty reduction, mental well-being, integrated and simpler systems, and gender-based violence and violence against women.

The positions will be part of the Secretariat team supporting the overall Community Safety and Well-being Plan with focus on Ottawa’s Guiding Council on Mental Health and Addictions. The Secretariat is working to identify specific options and recommendations that respond to the needs of the community for an effective 24/7 mental health and substance use crisis response system. We are seeking authentic community engagement and consultation with diverse and marginalized voices who are often negatively impacted by the existing crisis response system. This work will be done through a community development process that includes multi-stakeholder consultations.

In this role you will review data on current crisis response systems and collect and analyze qualitative data from consultations to understand the needs of our community. Analysis will feed into recommendations for alternatives or enhancements to the current 24/7 mental health and substance use crisis response system.

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**:
Completion of 4 year university degree in social work, health, social science, public administration or a related field

Master's Degree in social or health sciences, public administration or related field is desirable

Minimum of 5 years of varied, in-depth, incremental work experience in social services, public service, research and statistical analysis, project management, community development, and strategic planning
