**Job Title: Automotive Service Advisor / Service Coordinator**

Automotive Service Advisor / Service Coordinator Position Overview: The Automotive Service Advisor is responsible for managing the service process from initial customer contact through to the completion of the service or repair. This role requires excellent customer service skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to manage administrative tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

- **Customer Interaction**:

- Greet customers promptly and courteously.
- Listen to customer concerns and record them accurately.
- Provide clear explanations and cost estimates for service and repairs.
- Keep customers informed about their vehicle’s status and any changes to the estimated completion time.
- Explain the benefits of preventative maintenance and vehicle care.
- **Service Coordination**:

- Schedule service appointments and ensure timely follow-up.
- Communicate with service technicians to identify and explain customer concerns and service recommendations.
- Coordinate with the parts department to ensure timely availability of necessary parts.
- Monitor the service progress and ensure the timely completion of work.
- **Administrative Duties**:

- Prepare detailed service orders, including parts and labor estimates.
- Process payments, warranty claims, and insurance paperwork.
- Maintain accurate customer and vehicle records in the dealership’s database.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.

Skills and Qualifications:

- **Experience**:

- Previous experience as a service advisor, automotive technician, or in a related role preferred, but always willing to train the right person.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Proficiency in automotive diagnostic tools and service software.
- Knowledge of automotive parts and service processes.
- **Customer Service Skills**:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle difficult situations and resolve customer complaints efficiently.
- Strong sales and upselling abilities.
- **Organizational Skills**:

- Strong multitasking and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions:

- Work is typically performed in a dealership or automotive service center environment.
- Regular interaction with customers, service technicians, and parts department staff.
- May require standing for extended periods and occasional lifting of automotive parts and equipment.

Compensation:

- Competitive pay plan with performance-based incentives.
- Benefits package including health insurance and employee discounts.

Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
