- Special Events Coordinator: Festival Technician - Volunteer Lead/Volunteer Manager _

POSITION DEPENDENT UPON FUNDING

Experience with or interest in any of the following:
Lighting

Sound

Staging

Liaising with community partners

Editing

Livestreaming

Scheduling

Volunteer coordination

Job description:
Overseeing all volunteer coordination including but not limited to: recruitment, task delegation, developing an updated version of the volunteer handbook guide, developing a volunteer schedule, creating and distributing volunteer feedback forms, developing and delivering volunteer training, etc.

Having a working knowledge of all areas of the festival and providing this knowledge to volunteers in a clear and effective manner

Help Artistic Director create and oversee schedule for in person events

Helping support and facilitate relationships between Emerging Artists and their mentors in the Emerging Artists in Residency program

Ensuring volunteers are aware of artist production needs

Help design and promote festival

Establish and maintain relationships with community partners and sponsors

Help organize and oversee production volunteers

Create how to video experience to guide patrons on purchases festival tickets, filling out feedback forms & voting in the Fringe North Awards and ensure all volunteers are aware of these supports and the information they provide

Comfort being on film is an asset

Outgoing and welcoming demeanor is an asset

Additional tasks will be assigned by the Artistic Producer and Artistic Director

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 5 months

**Salary**: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week

- Weekends as needed
