Summary
The Office Administrator performs administrative duties for both Marmot Basin and the Jasper SkyTram as well as provides support to the Management Team and others in leadership positions. This is a front-line, customer service-oriented position that offers varied administrative duties.
This is a full-time year-round position located at Marmot Basin. Winter scheduling consists of 5x 8hr shifts, typically stretching over the weekend due to company demand. Summer scheduling consists of 4x 10hr days, Mon-Thurs.
Full-time employees have a 3-month probationary period.

- Excellent communication skills: telephone, in-person and written.
- Ability to work with multiple departments to ensure consistency of information.
- Driven to collaborate or complete tasks independently.
- Confidence to work alone.
- Strong software skills including use of all Microsoft Office programs.
- Understanding in data management and financial administration is as asset.
- Experience working in the tourism and/or ski industry is an asset.
- Holds an Alberta Class 5 driver’s license and a clear driving abstract.
- At minimum is an intermediate-level skier or snowboarder on Marmot Basin terrain with personally owned gear.
Job Duties
- Schedule internal meetings and record/distribute meeting minutes. This includes but is not limited to Department Head meetings, Safety Committee meetings, and Mountain Operations meetings.
- Assist with e-commerce product validation.
- Supervise, train and schedule seasonal staff to preform administrative duties.
- Prepare Prize Letters and compile charitable requests for approval.
- Postage, town run, shipping and receiving coordination.
- Update and distribute company-wide documents.
- Update information on industry websites.
- Company project planning administration.
- Data input and management.
- Perform radio dispatch duties for summer operations (May-Oct).
- Inventory management for office supplies and propane.
- Process operational purchases with a company credit card and prepare expense reports with supporting documentation.
- General administrative assistance to all departments.
- Seasonal assistance as required to Human Resources for recruitment/onboarding, uniform and Staff Accommodations needs.
- Active membership and participation to the Marmot Basin Staff Committee.
- Exercise confidentiality with the nature of conversations happening in the workplace.
- All other duties as assigned.
