**Duties and Responsibilities**

**Key Receiving Responsibilities**
- Determine waste classification and characterization; ensure waste samples obtained and analyzed for incoming material
- Ensure materials are packaged in proper containers, proper shipping documents are prepared and labelled in accordance with applicable regulations
- Count, weigh and measure incoming and outgoing materials; compare identifying information against manifests, bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records; identify and communicate discrepancies
- All paperwork and tasks associated with Aevitas Courier Program
- Follow and comply with all environmental health and safety procedures and regulations
- Load and unloading from trucks, ensuring load is secured according to, or exceeding standards
- Other related duties as directed.
- Operate material handling equipment as required including forklift, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies

**Key Purchasing Responsibilities**
- Complete inventory counts of supplies as needed
- Work with suppliers in order to ensure appropriate levels of supply inventories are maintained within the facility
- Obtain quotes per procedure and arrange for services of outside vendors with respect to facilities, machinery and equipment as required or requested by Operations and Facility Managers
- Obtain pricing and quotes on new products or new sourcing of current products as requested by Operations and Facility Manager
- Prepare POs and submit invoices to accounting for payment in a timely manner
- Pick up supplies and tools using company vehicle

**Qualifications/Abilities**
- One to two years experience working as a shipper/receiver
- One to two years experience as purchaser
- Knowledge of chemical and waste management and TDG an asset
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong work ethic
- Class 5 Driver's License (there is limited public transportation in the area)
