SOLTRON Group is looking for an Accounts Payable Assistant to provide support to the financial department by managing daily, and monthly accounting tasks. You will be part of a team of professionals working to maintain order and transparency for the company’s finances.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data
- Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements
- Understand expense accounts and cost centers
- Completing payments and controlling expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices
- Ensuring outstanding balances are updated with credit memos that are due
- Paying employees by receiving and verifying expense reports using company-specific accounting software
- Verifying vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
- Maintaining historical records of all invoices, reports, receipts, and cheques by saving documents properly on the network

**Requirements and skills**:

- Proven 2-3 years working experience as Accounts Payable Assistant
- Solid understanding of basic accounting payable principles
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Bilingual French and English

**Education**:

- High School or equivalent

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
