**Human Resources & Executive Administrator**
**Responsibilities**:
The BST Transportation Group is looking for a dedicated Human Resources and Executive Administrator to join our team.
**Human Resources**
- Managing the benefit plans, particularly the extended medical plan & the on-boarding process for all new employees
- Processing payroll data entries like vacation payouts, salary changes, retroactive adjustments, bonus payouts, verifying and inputting taxable benefits, setting up garnishments and other deductions.
- Keeping up to date on latest government rules and regulations on payroll source deductions and remittances, taxable benefits, workers compensation and employment standards related to compensation.
- Responding to enquiries related to payroll matters from government, WCB, ICBC and other third-party agencies such as TeksMed
- Project assistance regarding any HR-related initiatives
- Facilitating the recruitment process & trainings for employees including drivers and sub-contractors if required
- Facilitating employee retention by promoting a positive work environment
- Assisting with HR administrative tasks - such as maintaining/organizing personnel records, updating internal databases, or preparing employee contracts, new hire guides, termination paperwork, preparation of employment letters, etc.
- Assisting senior management to ensure legal compliance
**Executive Assistance**
- Managing/coordinating meeting requests for senior management
- Managing travel bookings based on defined procedures if required
- Updating company websites and social media platforms
- Assisting/planning team social events
- Managing the delivery of corporate gifts - i.e., gift card mailings
- Supporting the management team as required
**Education & Experience**:
- Post-secondary education /recognized diploma related to Human Resources and Business Administration
- 2 years of relevant work experience in human resources and executive administration
- Intermediate digital literacy & computer skills, such as MS office, Power Points, etc.
- Experience with relationship management - i.e., handling clients or conflict resolution
- Previous experience in benefits administration will be considered an asset
**Skills & Abilities**:
- Ability to be highly organized while handling multiple projects with deadlines & multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate and interact with all individuals
- Ability to act with tact, good judgment, and discretion; and the ability to maintain the confidentiality of files, personal information, and other matters, as appropriate.
- Ability to complete work in a timely manner with accuracy and attention to details
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain a calm focus during hectic periods
