Join our team as a temporary (6-month contract with possibility of extension) full-time, 35 hours per week,
Human Resources Assistant working Monday to Friday out of our beautiful Delta location to assist with the
implementation of a new HRIS.

The position offers a competitive salary based on experience and is a wonderful opportunity for someone who
has a positive attitude, a desire to learn and who enjoys variety and an active pace. The HR assistant reports
to the HR Manager and works closely with managers and staff teams.

About the Opportunity
The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for assisting with the implementation of an HRIS, including
data gathering, data entry, testing, validation. The HR Assistant will assist with the agencies scheduling and
monitoring of casual relief staff and will participate in the recruitment of casual relief staff for the agency.
During the implementation process, the HR Assistant will provide administrative support, including data entry,
for the HR and Finance teams and will act as back up support to the HR Coordinator and Advisor.- 1 to 2 years of related experience in Human Resources in a fast-paced environment;
- Recruiting and/or scheduling experience an asset;
- Knowledge of unionized environments and collective agreements an asset;
- Knowledge of HR policies and procedures and recruitment and selection best practices;
- Knowledge and experience with WCB regulations; and human rights legislation;
- Computer experience required with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- Experience with HRIS implementation considered an asset;
- Knowledge and/or experience with developmental disabilities/non-profits preferred.
