Kornblum Law is a boutique labour/employment law firm in Toronto.

Our areas of focus include employment law, human rights law, litigation, and disability law. We represent employees in the Greater Toronto Area, throughout Ontario and across Canada. We offer a friendly work environment. As a Kornblum Law Legal Assistant, you will assist 2 lawyers in our fast-paced, Toronto law firm, and you will be a valued member of our team.

Qualifications:

- Knowledge of Rules of Civil Procedure, Rules of the Small Claims Court and HRTO Rules of Procedure;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Must work independently with little supervision;
- Well organized, quick learner and proactive professional with a positive attitude and ability to prioritize tasks, workload and time;
- Exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).

Responsibilities include:

- Providing administrative and legal support to lawyers;
- Proofreading, drafting, editing and preparing legal documents and correspondence
- Filing, photocopying, scanning, faxing, etc.;
- Opening and closing files;
- Communicating with clients, court, and counsel;
- Maintaining calendar for lawyers;
- Booking meetings, court appearances, consultations;
- Tracking deadlines and maintaining a follow-up system;
- Assisting with reception duties;

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
