**The opportunity**:
Reporting to the Director, Bachelor of Midwifery Program, the Clinical Placement Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of appropriate clinical placements for the Bachelor of Midwifery program students and liaising with health professionals and health care services to secure placement sites and preceptors. The Coordinator acts as an interprofessional liaison with placement sites during clinical placements.

**The qualifications and experience we’re looking for**:

- Registration with the College of Midwives of Manitoba (CMM) is required.
- A Bachelor's degree in Midwifery or a related health discipline is preferred
- Minimum of 3 years clinical midwifery practice in the Canadian model of midwifery.
- Experience in precepting midwifery students in Canadian Midwifery Education Programs.
- Demonstrated experience in clinical teaching at a post-secondary level.
- Demonstrated experience mentoring and assessing clinical performance of students in a post-secondary program.
- Evidence of participation in clinical, scholarly, and professional activities as it relates to their field of expertise.
- An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Proficiency in use of Microsoft suite of programs, i.e., Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and experience with databases. Experience with HSPnet is an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills.
- Excellent working knowledge of the health care system and clinical agencies in Manitoba.
- Satisfactory work record, including satisfactory attendance and punctuality, is required.
