**Key Responsibilities**:

- Coordinates all Research Centre agreements including NAIT generated and externally generated Project Agreements
- Manages requisitions, invoices, payments, journal entries, budgets and contract agreements
- Reviews all charges related to various Funder guidelines for compliance and eligibility as expected by Funder
- Coordinates month-end activities and be able to work with tight deadlines
- Advises researchers on cash flow situations, including monthly statements and projections to year-end at grant/project level.
- Prepares, with Research Lead, quantitative and qualitative reporting as required internally or by the external funder. Includes supporting Research Lead to ensure all reporting requirements and deadlines are met.
- Creates detailed supporting working papers for in-kind contributions including necessary agreements.
- Provides planning documents, reports and variance analysis to Industry Solutions Leadership
- Supports Centre leadership in the preparation, tracking and reporting of NAIT budgets for Industry Solutions in the annual NAIT budget process.
- Develops, tracks and reports on all Capital procurement for external funders
- Coordinates all information for internal and external auditing and reporting purposes

- A strong customer service focus, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines are essential.
- Highly organized and responsive, keen attention to detail
- Strong analytical problem solving

**Qualifications**:

- Accounting, Finance, or Business Degree preferred; a related diploma may be considered with significant related experience
- 5 years of related experience with extensive and proven financial experience.
- Experience with research grant facilitation and management would be a strong asset
- Project management and budget preparation/support experience required
- Advanced Excel skills required; PeopleSoft Finance experience would be an asset
- Equivalencies may be considered

**Remuneration**:$2,566.82 - $3,451.82 biweekly, plus a comprehensive benefits package. (Classification - Coordinator ll).
- This position is covered by the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE) Collective Agreement_
