We are currently seeking a Director of Digital Strategy (DoDS) to join our team. Reporting to the Managing Director, your primary responsibility will be the smooth operation of the Digital Strategy department. You will be involved in all aspects of the day to day operations, from team and client management to sales support and service delivery. Under the guidance of the Managing Director, you will also be responsible for the overall direction of the department including, but not limited to, service design, innovation and expertise development.

**On a day-to-day basis, our Director of Digital Strategy will**:

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Digital Marketing department
- Ensure the department is meeting operational targets in support of larger company goals
- Manage the Digital Marketing Manager and Leads, including 1:1s, performance reviews, career development planning, hiring and onboarding, and issue resolution
- Improve and streamline existing digital marketing services (in conjunction with the Digital Marketing Innovation Lead) to create efficiencies in the delivery of our digital marketing services
- Manage key client relationships
- Ensure all clients are receiving best in class service and results and work with strategists and coordinators to quickly and effectively handle performance issues
- Identify opportunities to upsell and ensure client retention remains high
- Prioritize and facilitate innovation to ensure our services are both cutting edge and best practise.
- Work with the Managing Director to develop, grow and execute service offerings that support our positioning and business strategy
- Support the Director of Sales by attending sales calls, assisting with RFPs and contributing to proposal development
- Collaborate with the Director of Digital Production to align our digital marketing work with website/branding services and processes
- Contribute to our expertise development and ensure the team is up to date on industry trends and best practises.
- Research and evaluate third-party technology providers and provide thought leadership and perspectives for adoption

**You’ll be successful in this role if you have**
- Proven experience managing a high-performing digital strategy team
- Proven experience with digital marketing tactics, including, but not limited to:

- Paid advertising (search, social, display, metasearch, video)
- Search engine optimization (technical and on-page)
- Conversion rate optimization
- Tracking and reporting (GA4, Google Tag Manager, Adobe Analytics Manager, Looker Studio)
- Experience working within an agency environment
- Experience working with WordPress
- Strong eye for detail and high-quality standards
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
- Nice to haves_
- Experience working in/with the travel and/or hospitality industry
- Familiarity with tools commonly used by businesses in our industry (booking engines, property management systems, CRM systems, pop-up tools)
- Knowledge of OTAs and metasearch
- Industry trends and outlook
- Experience with Forecast and Jira
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform and Big Query
- Experience working on website development projects from a marketing, brand or strategy perspective
- Brand strategy experience
