We are hiring a critical **Channels Chief of Staff for the Americas** to play a key role within the GPS organization to deliver on the objectives of the Channels VP. Americas across Azure Cloud, Security, Modern Work, Surface, and BizApps working with our entire Channel partner ecosystem from Canada to Latin America. As a trusted Chief of Staff, you will bring a proven track record and strong skills in business strategy, partner landscapes, organizational design, strategic innovation projects. rhythm of the business/operations, communications, customer and partner engagement, and internal stakeholder management.
As a member of the Channels Americas Leadership Team, you will serve as a trusted advisor for the VP and serve as a resource to help support the broader strategic and operational needs of the GPS Americas team. You will build strong relationships across Microsoft and will be the bridge between the Central Global GPS team and the rest of the SLT, OUs, Product and sales community and key business partners. This role calls for a balance of leadership, strategy, and influencing skills within the GPS CoS team and participation in the overall GPS strategy & planning rhythms, communications rhythm, reporting, and partner engagement model across our newly formed Americas organization.
**Responsibilities**:
As a Chief of Staff (CoS), you will be responsible for effectively mobilizing the the GPSAMER Channels leadership team and the broader influence with GPS Global/Core Channels and the other GPS organizations in EMEA and APAC. You will work with the VP and LT on the transformation of the Channels organization from US, Canada and Latin America netted teams to one cohesive organization shaped with partner management and centers of excellence. You will have responsibility for key areas such as:
- Channels Organizational Transformation
- Channel Partner organization blueprint, Target Setting, Mapping and quotas
- Red Glove transitioning of Channel partners
- Strategic innovation projects
- Sales Excellence for Partners
- Partner Operations and Incentives
- Reporting and Systems: QBRs, MBRs. VBR and data platforms and dashboards that support the organization
- Rhythm of the Business - now aligned with MCAPS, SMC/SMB, and GPS
- Americas Meeting Preparation and Briefings with Partners, LT, M1, M2, Town Halls
- Employee Recognition and Moral
- Budget Management - Variable, Marketing, and Discretionary
- Communications to Market, to Partners, to Field, to Team
**Support the Leader and be a Trusted Advisor / Innovator**
- Serve as a trusted advisor for the VP Channels Amer and manage the daily rhythm, special projects, and ad hoc incoming requests as they arise.
- Ensure the VP’s time is maximized and impactful with key stakeholders & teams.
- Leverage knowledge of the business to connect the dots and help drive alignment across groups and the Channels AMER LT. Leverage consolidated information & insights across teams to help support fast decision making and business agility.
- Work with the Channels AMER leadership team, OU leadership team and their COS offices, SMB/SMC team, finance team and the business planning and data teams across the organization to help streamline business strategy and understand progress against key priorities.
- Influence and impact groups inside and outside the Channels AMER team with the ability to rapidly gain/build trust and confidence of internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to think outside the box.
**Business Management/ RoB**
- Manage and facilitate the rhythm of the business for the Leadership Team, including Channels AMER staff meetings, offsites and other key Channels Leadership rhythms (e.g., partner meetings, Town Halls, QBR, MBRs, VBRs), ensuring materials are sent in advance, time is well spent, and objectives are achieved.
- Collaborate with the COS leads from GPS Global SMB/SMC AMER, OU MCAPS AMER & business planning teams (finance, M&O) across the organization to continually drive alignment and execution of the core business priorities.
- Be an active member of the Channels AMER leadership team and understand strategic planning, business management, financial & operations, people/talent rhythms and communications functions.
**Partner Engagement**
- Live our shared core values of “Customer “PARTNER” Obsession” and “Be Relentless” and grow the business by elevating the voice of the customer through our sales efforts, GTMs. and business rhythms.
