Classroom Champions is an international, award-winning, non-profit organization that provides powerful Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) programming to Kindergarten to Grade 8 (K-8) students through the mindset and journey of world-class athlete mentors.

We are growing rapidly and are seeking passionate and mission-driven ambassadors to join our team of educators, athletes, and nonprofit leaders to deliver curriculum and mentorship programs to districts, schools, and teachers.

**Position Summary**

As the Events Manager, you will report directly to the Director of Growth & Fund Development, will be an integral member of our fundraising team, and will oversee the revitalization and execution of an events strategy. You will directly impact the company’s mission to empower students to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally through world-class athletes’ mentorship.

**What You’ll Do**
- Event Strategy and Execution_
- Provide strategic direction and support to staff, volunteers, and third-party providers to deliver memorable fundraising events. This includes identifying and collaborating with sponsors, vendors, the event committee, Board of Directors, and community partners.
- Serve as main point of contact for three major annual fundraiser events - Concert for Classrooms Calgary, Concert for Classrooms Toronto, and Champion Chats Calgary - as well as individual cultivation events (2-3 per year) for major donors (specifically our “Champions Board”, our fundraising board).
- Create and spearhead a cohesive strategy for nationwide, local Community Events that bring together schools, corporate sponsors, athletes, and community members, in collaboration with program staff, to maximize engagement and revenue opportunities.
- Event Marketing & Communications_
- Develop marketing objectives, plans, and tactics to activate participation and revenue growth. Promote events by creating marketing materials including posters, flyers, fact sheets, online fundraising platforms, and social media outreaches. All in partnership with our Marketing & Communications team.
- Work with Communications to brainstorm and deliver unique thank you communications to all stakeholders.

**What You Bring**
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, fundraising, relationship building or a minimum of five years’ experience or an equivalent combination of both.
- Expertise building event-based stewardship plans and working with donor CRM databases, HubSpot would be a bonus
- Ability and eagerness to manage a large portfolio of engagement events and communications.
- Quick on your feet, able to meet deadlines while anticipating and responding to changing priorities.
- Eager to occasionally flex your schedule to support evening and weekend events and meetings.
- Legally permitted to work in Canada and ideally located in Calgary; background clearance required.
- Love to work remotely
