**Job description**

The Maintenance Supervisor assumes the role of a technical leader and maintenance planner and has overall responsibility for ensuring timely and quality repair of equipment and plant machinery to minimize downtime for safe and efficient operation. The role takes initiatives to ensure operations are in compliance with the safety standards, environmental practices, quality requirements and operations needs.

**Responsibilities**:

- Promote the inflow of work notifications from the floor.
- Convert efficiently notifications to planned Work orders.
- Participation on DMS (Daily Management System), to understand the plant’s needs for the day, and follow up on actions assigned during the meeting.
- Lead the creation of a Preventive Maintenance System Database to ensure optimal equipment functionality.
- Participate in weekly meetings with the scheduler to define and prioritize backlog and create the tentative weekly schedule to ensure reliability of the production related equipment.
- Leads the Breakdown Analysis Reports for Major or Repetitive Breakdowns, finding root causes and creating action items to systemically close the gaps.
- Prioritizes assigned daily work including work orders, preventive maintenance and emergencies to maintain acceptable levels of operation in the area of responsibility.
- Maintain spare part inventory using available resources to continuously minimize downtime and organize Maintenance Workshop
- Direct and lead maintenance staff in everyday scheduling, preventative maintenance, repair of all production equipment and resolve equipment related issues
- Schedule and supervise major equipment repairs, overhauls, and rebuilding to ensure that it is fully operational and safe to operate and within schedule requirements
- Ensure staff are well trained in health and safety standards and proper environmental practices within the plant and the Maintenance Department
- Liaise with government agencies/regulatory bodies as required.
- Coordinates all phases of plant projects to ensure timely completion and cost effectiveness
- Be the main point of contact for contractors when performic a project for a production related equipment or infrastructure repair or upgrade.
- Support the creation of LOTO placards for the site to ensure employee’s safety.
- The job may require shift coverage depending on the production schedule.
- Maintain and facilitate direct communicate with external contractors from start to finish.
- Do daily walk through in the plant to look for inefficiency.
- Look over the maintenance department for both Rayette and Adesso, spending half
- day each week at Adesso and the rest of the time at Rayett
